David Unter is an experienced CFO with a proven record of establishing cross-functional partnerships to drive exceptional results. In his 25+ year career in the consumer products industry, David has led companies through a variety of complex transitions, including IPOs, strategic acquisitions, and private equity transactions.
David leads ThreeSixty Group’s strategic and operational global corporate finance strategy. Additionally, David oversees Global Information Technology and Human Resources for ThreeSixty Group.
Prior to ThreeSixty Group, David served as CFO for Volcom and was an integral part of the company’s NASDAQ IPO offering in 2005, followed by the company’s worldwide expansion into EMEA and APAC regions. David ultimately facilitated the sale of Volcom in 2011 to European based company, Kering. Specializing in acquisitions, IPOs and SEC filings for consumer product companies, David’s career highlights include driving financial growth and transparency that led to a PE transaction for 5.11, a global apparel brand, and a decade at Deloitte consulting on consumer goods brands’ public offerings and acquisitions deals.
David is proud to have served on the Board of Directors for the Down Syndrome Association of Orange County and the University of Southern California Accounting Circle.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
